Pricing that grows with you: Seat by Seat, tenant by tenant

A platform that brings your entire IT infrastructure together in one place does not have to become a black box when it comes to cost. COD is billed the way you run it: by Seats, tenants, assets, and the service level you actually need. You pay for what you use. Modular, transparent, and without licensing surprises.

Request a quote through a partnerView the data sheet

The building-block principle: four components, one price

COD is made up of clearly separated components. You combine exactly what fits your environment:

  • Seats are billed per user who actively works with the platform. All modules are included, from network and GRC through to the new Stronghold and TACACS+ modules.
  • Tenant Fee applies per tenant, depending on the hosting model (Self, Shared, or Private Hosted).
  • VAS (Value-Added Services) is the only optional add-on among the building blocks: vulnerability scanning, per tenant, tiered by the number of assets. It can be ordered once extocode has released it.
  • Service & Support keeps two things cleanly apart. The SLA package buys speed, meaning service hours and response times. The Support-Pack buys volume, meaning additional tickets handled at the speed of your package. That is why a Pack requires an SLA package.

Outside the building blocks: The InfoScan add-on uses local AI to draft your system documentation. It is available on request and is not part of the price calculator. More about InfoScan →

Seats & Tenant: the foundation

The entry level is deliberately low: COD pays off from a small team all the way to multi-tenant operations.

All prices are recommended guide prices, net in EUR per month (unless stated otherwise).

  • COD Seat: €47.50 per Seat/month (minimum purchase 2 Seats).
  • 10% term discount on Seats with a 36-month contract term.
  • Tenant Fee per tenant/month: Self Hosted €8, Shared Hosted €12, Private Hosted €12 (Private Hosting from 10 Tenants).

Value-Added Services: billed per asset

VAS are billed per tenant and grow with the number of assets you manage. You do not pay a flat rate for an entire size class, but for each asset individually:

The bands are tiered like income tax. Each rate applies only to the assets that fall within its own band. A larger inventory therefore does not make the assets in the bands below it more expensive.

*Example calculation. A tenant with 2,000 assets pays a €59 base fee, plus 900 assets in the first band at €0.62 and 1,000 assets in the second band at €0.42, for a total of €1,037 per month**.

*What counts as an asset.** An asset is a physical device or a virtual system with one or more network interfaces. A hypervisor with three virtual systems counts as four assets. A system that is reachable via IPv4 and IPv6 counts as one asset. The count is taken per tenant on the last day of the month.

  • Base fee per tenant/month: €59, which includes the first 100 assets.
  • Assets 101 to 1,000: €0.62 per asset per month.
  • Assets 1,001 to 5,000: €0.42 per asset per month.
  • Assets 5,001 to 25,000: €0.30 per asset per month.
  • From 25,001 assets: an individual quote, tailored to your scale.

Calculate it yourself

The calculator breaks the asset bands down exactly as they will later appear on your quote. Each tenant falls into the bands according to its own asset count, and the base fee applies per tenant. Three tenants with 500 assets each therefore cost something different from one tenant with 1,500 assets.

The result is a recommended guide price. Your quote comes from a partner, and they may call different prices.

Onboarding, migration and integration are not in the calculator. We agree these services separately and bill them by effort.

What does COD cost for you?

Enter your figures. The calculation follows the price list, without obligation and net.

Seats
Tenants and VAS assets
Service

The SLA package buys speed. It sets service hours and response times and includes a monthly ticket allowance. Without a booked package no response time is promised.

The Support-Pack buys volume. It requires a booked SLA package and is only drawn on once the monthly allowance is used up. Please choose an SLA package first.

Monthly–
One-off–

All amounts are non-binding recommended guide prices, net in euros, excluding VAT. The price of your quotation depends on Seats, hosting model, asset count and service level.

What the asset count is for: exclusively for COD-VAS, the vulnerability management module. Seats and Tenant Fee do not depend on the asset count. For the platform itself there is neither an upper limit nor a price per asset. If you do not book COD-VAS, leave the field at 0.

How VAS assets are counted: a hypervisor with three virtual machines counts as four assets. A system reachable over both IPv4 and IPv6 counts as one. What is counted is the state on the last day of the month, per tenant.

About the tiering: the asset bands work like income tax. Each rate applies only to the assets that fall within its own band. A larger inventory therefore does not make the assets below it more expensive.

Service level: you buy speed

The SLA package is our commitment on how quickly we respond. It applies per account per month and includes a ticket allowance:

*Without a booked SLA package, we do not commit to any response time.** We accept every report and work on it as available capacity permits. The availability of 99.5% on a monthly average and the credit granted if it is not met do not depend on this. They apply to every tenant in Shared Hosted and Private Hosted.

  • Basic €190, 2 tickets per month, Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • Advanced €390, 4 tickets per month, Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., response within 6 hours in the event of an operational standstill.
  • Professional €890, 8 tickets per month, Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., response within 4 hours in the event of an operational standstill.
  • Elite €2,490, 16 tickets per month, around the clock including public holidays, response within 2 hours in the event of an operational standstill.

Support-Packs: you buy volume

If your monthly allowance is not enough in a given month, we draw the additional reports from a Support-Pack. They are then handled with the response times of your SLA package:

Onboarding, migration and integration are not support tickets. We agree these services separately and bill them by effort.

  • Pack S: €850 for 10 tickets, Pack M: €1,900 for 25 tickets, Pack L: €3,500 for 50 tickets, each a one-time charge.
  • A Pack requires a booked SLA package, because without a package there is no response time that could carry a Pack ticket.
  • Valid for 24 months from purchase, per account. Unused tickets expire after that.
  • Reports of an operational standstill are not counted against any allowance.

What you get for your budget

  • One platform instead of five tools: documentation, CMDB, NAC, firewall, and monitoring on one living data set.
  • Multi-tenant & modular: several customers, sites, or departments in a single interface, role-based via LDAP/AD.
  • On-Premise & KRITIS-ready: full data sovereignty.
  • Audit-proof: GRC for ISO 27001, 9001, and 22301 on a single data set, with risk analysis in accordance with BSI 200-3.

Frequently asked questions

Are the prices listed binding?

These are non-binding recommended guide prices (net, EUR/month unless stated otherwise). Your final price depends on the number of Seats, the hosting model, the asset volume and the service level. COD is sold through partners, so your quote comes from a partner who calculates their own price.

Do I buy from extocode or from a partner?

You buy from a partner. extocode develops COD and runs the platform, sales go through resellers and distributors. Tell us what you need using the contact form and we will put you in touch with the right partner. A price only comes into being in their quote.

What does COD cost at a minimum?

The entry level consists of at least 2 Seats at €47.50 each plus a Tenant Fee from €8 (Self Hosted). VAS and service packages are added as needed.

Do I get a discount for a longer contract term?

Yes. Seats carry a 10% term discount with a 36-month contract term. For COD-VAS there is no recommended price for tenants with more than 25,000 assets. The price is then agreed individually.

What is a ticket?

A ticket is a fault report accepted by us. It is accepted when the report contains the agreed information and describes the fault in a comprehensible way. A response is the confirmation of receipt, together with the start of work by a qualified person and an initial assessment. A response is not a resolution, and we do not commit to a resolution time.

What happens when my ticket allowance is used up?

We still accept every further report, nothing is rejected. If you have a Support-Pack, we draw the ticket from it and handle it with the response times of your SLA package. If you have none, we work on the report without a committed response time. Reports of an operational standstill keep their response time in every case.

Do I need an SLA package for a Support-Pack?

Yes. A Pack buys volume, not speed. The speed comes from the SLA package. Without a package there would be no response time that could carry a Pack ticket, so the Pack would be worthless. If your SLA package ends, the remaining Pack tickets expire with it. Switching to a different package is not an ending, the remaining tickets then continue at the speed of the new package.
